Its called Marburg hemorrhagic fever because the virus causes the hemorrhaging, just like H5N1 and pandemic flu. Its not secondary infections, which would produce a variety of symptoms. Marburg and Ebola cause victims to die with blood oozing from every orifice. Its not hard to diagnose.

It has already spread pretty far and wide and the bodies are just starting to be found in residences. It will take contact tracing and quarantine to contain, but its got a good head start. It is already the biggest for Marburg, but will likely surpass Ebola in deaths. at 100% case fatality rate, its in a class by its self.

It's a recombinant.

Marburg spread is accelerating. Its in 5 provinces and dead are up to 155. The 20 alive are new admissions showing patients being admitted faster than they are dying (i.e. spread is accelerating)
