We saw it tonight. First time I've been to a movie where there was a theater employee demanding my younger son show ID not just when we handed our tickets to the ticket taker, but also at the door to the screening room. My son's 6'3" and built like a linebacker, so they didn't see me standing behind him going "he's with me." (He is 17 but didn't have his driver's license.)

I don't like violent movies for the most part but this was a guilty pleasure. Visually stunning. Also, I like it when good, such as it is, triumphs over evil.

Towards the end, I was urging Bruce Willis, "just kill him, and don't take any chances!" My husband turned to me and said, "that's not what this is about."

it was very much a Miller visual.

This was a "generation" jump from what was being done a year ago. I loved the "rain" as "lines" as it is done in comics.
