local pa politics today covered fraud in medical system. It costs pa state estimate of 3% of total... this was a pie in sky number.

examples of fraud i never heard of before... this is organized big time crime ..

find people to undergo surgery , so they can continue follow up and bill the system for the surgery and care. I expect people who really need a buck participate in surgery when nothing is required. Speaker mentioned a seven state investigation going on in the fraud case..

another one was accident fraud... people who will have their arms or legs broken to claim they were in an accident and then get months of follow up medical care to include rehabilitation.

Another speaker said drug lords are getting out of drugs in states like Florida as their is less danger in medical fraud insurance and just as much money if not more.
