JF, Of the almost 2000 mile border with Mexico, how many miles are these guys covering?

Just the Arizona border, and I'm not even sure how much of that.

RE:"Of the almost 2000 mile border with Mexico, how many miles are these guys covering?"

Not even that much of the Arizona border...but the stretch they are covering takes in 1 of 5 illegal immigrant apprehensions. So its a hot spot.

A few thousand volunteers could take in a lot of border as could some more border patrol.

The fact that citizens even have to do this means the government is failing badly.

OTOH, Bush has us over in Iraq defending their country.

When he was sworn in didn't he say he was going to uphold the law of the land?

51% of the apprehensions are on the Arizona border.
There are 1.1m apprehensions on the total US Mexican border.
