Ted, This is by no means universally true. Some of the illegals are criminals.

An even better reason to get a handle on the whole situation.

Furthermore, many of them are coming to the US to live and send money back to their families in Mexico.

I don't see how this is unique to illegal immigration. Legal immigrants do the same thing. The only difference (besides the legality of it all) is that they get paid more and thus have more money to send back.

In any case, we have a vested interest in solving the problems within Mexico, but like Jimmy Mac said, we seem to be more concerned about solving Iraq's problems, for better or for worse.
