A latino pope would make good political sense for the church, as they say half of all catholics now are latinoamericanos ... another few hundreds years of pure italians just wouldn't be the same, now that they've broken out of that mould you'd expect them to stay out, for some terms anyway ... heard on the radio today, that now they fear the church in Poland will decline again, it was very revived by a pole being pope .... but i like the idea of the cubano - lol, wouldn't it firmly grasp Fidel by the private parts if they elected 'Cardinal Jaime Lucas Ortega y Alamino of Cuba' Women barred from the clergy, celibacy for priests, no birth control - how far is that behind the times? ... what an organisation, that they can keep all that going so long ... maybe they are infallible after all -g-
