We now have 35 states where it is legal to carry concealed. If that were so in NYC, muggings and store robberies would almost disappear.

Sometimes I forget where your politics are, Bill. Thanks for the reminder. Glad I live where you can't carry concealed. And particularly glad NYC hasn't turned in to the Wild West.

To change the topic, to lower the edge a bit, and to give me a moment to catch my breath, you might notice I'm reading Jeremy Siegel's latest investment advice. Buy dividend stocks rather than growth stocks, he argues. Got some interesting data.

It was amazing to see a pro-gun piece in the NYT.

Why do you call that piece "pro-gun"? I read it twice and I'm missing the bias in it. The reporting of the country's change in mood appears pretty straight to me.
