JQP,
Long time since we talked John, good to see you posting again.

Your observations are backed up by my own, but by a relatively small percentage so far. Folks with smaller cars are driving them and letting the behemoths sit. A sure indication of this happening on a larger scale will be when the prices of used compact cars go up as people who don't have them now look for small gas efficient "beater" cars to drive to work. This may be happening already, I haven't looked for the statistics yet.

My traffic observations, while not scientific or impartial by any means, are fairly reliable, IMHO, as we have lived in the area for a long time. Having also been investing/trading in energy stocks for a long time, I've paid close attention to the local traffic and all the factors effecting that traffic for many years.

The eye of the speculator sees all, except, perhaps, that safe above that is falling on his head, ggg.

Best,
Roebear
