Definitely.... a rare visit to the 50 sma.

The last time AAPL saw the 50 sma was last August.

Earnings a week from tomorrow after the close. AAPL has made a habit of beating the street, but there's been no ramp up into earnings. Aside from the fact that AAPL is a market leader and very strong, this is a classic earnings play IMHO.

UBS believes that Q2 ests are conservative ahead of the co's April 13 report, and notes that the consensus has risen quite a bit since their last est raise on Feb 14. Firm thinks the success of the iPod should unlock additional opportunities in Macs and other Apple products that have not yet been introduced, and notes that while many news reports have weighed in on what Apple may be up to next, firm's checks point toward several new products. Maintains Buy and $50 tgt.
