C'mon..who are you kidding? Only if we approve it!


And why do you find it hard to believe that it IS in the interest of the US to have a moderate leadership voice representing Sunni interests?

While I have no direct knowledge of such policy issues, I do opine that Bush administration would see the benefit of a Hashemite constitutional monarchy in Iraq, positioned to compete with the Saudis for influence in the region.

Afterall, from the Iraqi perspective, militants like Zarqawi and Ansar Al Sunna are Wahhabist exports from Saudi Arabia.
