Thanks for going to all the trouble of looking it up! It's a delicate looking plant and very hardy too.

We always keep a bottle of Witch Hazel in the cabinet. It's very soothing on bites but I didn't know they made other skin care products other then the clear stuff we use.

I am never without witch hazel.

I keep a plastic container in the bathroom filled with the large cotton pads and pour in a bottle of witch hazel. This gets used for everything, from a facial astringent, cuts and scrapes, bum wipes, cooling eye pads. The uses are countless. I have been doing this for years.

When we go away I always put a few in a sealed baggie.
