Another Harvard bumble:
cnn.com

She said she was shocked when, in late 2001, her supervisor told her she would never be promoted at Harvard. In court documents, Goodwin said her supervisor told her she was "a joke" at the university's main library, where she "was seen merely as a pretty girl who wore sexy outfits, low cut blouses, and tight pants."

"One of my friends said to me, 'No matter how it turns out, standing up for yourself is a victory in itself,'" Goodwin said after the verdict.

Tejek, her math skillsets were probably the issue - everyone knows women aren't good at math, science, and engineering. : )

She should change careers and work as a marcom manager in California, she'd be vogue. Or work at Stanford - they aren't as stuffy.

Regards,
Amy J

Ted, The current, average price for premium in LA is near $2.70. Since it is an average, the Malibu station at $3 can't be too much of an anomaly.

That's better that what I originally said, "Premium is in the $2.70's." I guess I must be frequenting the expensive gas stations, and even then, I have not found a $3/gallon station. (Nor am I going to be Dumb and Dumber and waste gas just to see for myself whether Malibu has one. <G>)

Shall I thank Mr. Bush again?!

What for? Because he won't tax gas and SUVs like you want him to? I thought liberals were against "consumption taxes" because of its regressive nature.
