It sure cuts down on break ins. A TV and a watch aren't worth dying for.

One of the Chicago suburbs that has a no handgun rule, one of the citizens had his home broken into, vehicle and keys were among the stolen. He bought a Glock off the street. A week later as they were going to bed the perp unlocks the door, enters carrying a gun. The owner shot him often and fatally.

The town was going to charge the home owner with having a banned gun and no Illinois Firearm Owner ID that it takes 2 months to get. The state legislature pushed through a measure that if you break local gun laws to save your family you can't be charged.

BTW, wasn't Ed Gein from a deer hunting area?
