Context is everything Mark. Is it because we are driven by principle to stand for liberty and justice for all where ever we have a sphere of influence; is it because we have a historic vendetta; is it because of the corporate interests in play; is it competition over resources, is it bigotry, is it some insidious conspiracy, is it a struggle between global politicians to obtain power and influence for the sake of ego gratification? The fact is these and other factors all have a role, and will increasingly play important roles for individuals and groups living in a shrinking global community. We can no longer view things as 'over there' since our cultures have all clashed and integrated themselves and will continue to do so at a more and more rapid pace. Or is it just some odd quirk of bush like doug r. suggested earlier (he says bush wants to infect his troops so their children will die in miscarriage or be born unhealthy or abnormal). Republicans: "lack of penetrating intellect" LOL. The sad thing is, given the wealth of information and resources at their disposal, right wingers aggressively seek ignorance and stupidity. This is what they choose to do. They cannot bear to look reality in the eye, choosing instead to believe pathetic fictions and staged scenarios. There are millions of right wingers who STILL believe that we're in Iraq because Saddam was responsible for 911. These are people who won't read a regular newspaper and who won't listen to regular news just in case they run smack dab into the truth. It is for the intellectually dishonest and easily frightened amongst us that FoxFraud and LushLimpbutt were created. They know their audience very well. Pathetic.
