Bob,

Good comments and I would like to add a few others.

Everyone wants to quote the over investment in golf courses and luxury condos but this misses the point. What about the the 300 million chinese with internet access or the 48,000 miles of new interstate highway being built? My numbers maybe slightly off but china had less than 1000 miles of highway before 1980. The growth is incredible and beyond anything the west has ever witnessed.

The new aiports are the best in world as Shanghai's airport is great to fly in and out of. It's brand new with a Maglev running back into Pudong. If you want to try air travel the old way, take the old airport west of the city. Beijing's airport upgrade will also be very nice.

Slider - I suggest go to china and spend a few months there. It will change your perspective.

China is not going to collapse

Michael

Bob,
Do you have an answer for why Exxon liquidated its China holdings?

The only reason I can come up with is that they have inside info and are waaaay ahead of the game. Perhaps they are expecting war?
