I'm pretty sure a "missile shield" will indeed work as promised, given enough time and money. Real scientists should at least acknowledge that possibility.

Whether we need it or not is another question, though. Kind of funny to be impervious to ICBMs, yet totally open to illegal immigrants, some of whom want to blow up Americans.
