What a story. Thanks for sharing it.

Punch's dad was a much better journalist. My mother used to devour the Sunday Times every week. She also subscribed to (and read) the Wall Street Journal. Today when I see the NYT tag, I just want to puke.

If the NYT practiced journalism (writing characterized by a direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation) I would be interested. Instead they practice urinalism (writing designed to appeal to current [DemoLib] popular taste or public interest).

The funniest thing is listening to liberals rant about how conservative Fox News is. Fox is much more centrist than the other TV outlets. Those who complain about Fox being biased are self identifying as fringe liberals.

When you point them to scientific proof of their favorite media outlet's liberal bias, they act like they cannot understand it.

Rick: Congratulations. You have seen the light. Why ANYONE would actually pay for the NY Times is BEYOND anything I could understand. IMHO it is the poorest excuse for a newspaper I can imagin. I read the NY Post now and again, which incidentally is the oldest continously published newspaper in the USA but I never read the Times anymore and havent for several years. Frankly, I find the internet a far more reliable source for NEWS anymore. jdn

I think as your final goodbye, a copy of this post should be sent to the New York Times as a letter to the editor.
Then, it probably won't do any good because I highly doubt it will be published.
