Excellent Jay. You have grasped rule number one of investing. We agree on yet another thing = Buy Sheep, Sell Deer. We are running out of things on which we disagree. < Don't buy companies everyone already loves and don't think that "growth" in sales & earnings necessarily equates to "growth" in investment returns.>

That's why I gave you an excellent "short QCOM" advisory at $44 some time ago. As their sales, revenue, technology, profits, market share improve, the investment returns have gone negative [temporarily].

You've turned sour on oil, cool on paper gold, expecting a USD recovery as interest rates rise more, and further, to reposition the USD among the ever worth-less state-backed fiat currencies which are ALL on a competitive pixelation process to planet-wide repricing towards zero. I think there are other things we've agreed on.

You still think QCOM worth zero, which is a major point of difference to keep us amused.

Mqurice

PS: I note that "everyone" does NOT love QCOM. For example, I think only BrianH and myself are true believers in QUALCOMM in the 2001 Collapse stream.

Jay,

That is the Peter Lynch investment style that retail investors adopted. "Only invest in stocks you know" That is why we have the following stocks with ridiculous PEs.

Wake up and have a:

SBUX: PE 50

check your schedule with your

RIMM: PE 56

load the songs into your

iPod (AAPL) PE 67

while working, look up a few things on the internet

GOOG: PE 130

and if you can find the next cool thing people will put in front of their face you can probably find the next 50+ PE stock!

D

Sent to me yesterday by a friend who buys this stuff.

screen.yahoo.com

My friend asked me why I don't get into these things more often, he just bought a lot of iraqi dinars from the good return he made on IED the past few years - he said he will sell the rest of his IED within a few weeks since he heard it advertised on philsgang.com and now the cat is out the bag - telling me he will be a millionaire on his small investment of dinars - I told him to buy millionbill.com too - just about as good as iraqi dinars - so he got mad and cussed me out and said DINARS are REAL money - not that fake million dollar bill I sent him - so went and bought more and said he will prove me a fool and is sending me a batch of dinars through fed ex - amazing! I told him taco bell won't take dinars or million dollar bills - so when I starve for a taco niether do me any good - I explained to him how at 3 local mcdonalds I cannot cash a 100 dollar US REAL MONEY bill either so it has the same uselessness to me as his iraqi dinar. I went on to tell him even this morning at walmart when I bought some products with a 100 dollar US REAL MONEY BILL they would not take it either and I had to literally get in a verbal cussing match with the manager to take my REAL us money before they would do it but he said never again - come with a visa card or 20 dollar bills - hmmm.

He often kicks my butt in neverwinter nights but I think he feels that virtual gold he gets in the game has real world application...
