Hello everyone!

I'd like to say thanks to each of you for the kind words.
Unfortunately, I can't keep the keyboard on my lap too long
to type right now, so I'm forced to send the same general
message I sent to all those who PM'd me with their get well
wishes. Please accept my sincere thanks to each of you.

It looks like the surgery was successful. Apparently my ankle
was worse than they thought it would be. My ortho surgeon
said that my ligaments were "flimsy" (how's that for
technical jargon? gg).

Instead of a removable boot for 6-8 weeks; I was put in a
cast that he said I would likely need to wear for 6 months.

It's only been 24 hours since the surgery, so the pain is
quite significant. I'm eating percocets like candy. They said
I could go back on my Celebrex prescription too, but given
today's news, I'm not sure if I like the cardiovascular
risks.

Thanks again. I appreciate the concern my cyber peers have
shown.

:-)

Tim

Hi w2....NO WONDER I've been wondering how you are!! Didn't know till just now that you'd had the ankle surgery....I can just well imagine how painful it must be, and especially after the knee operation ...The knee replacement I had Jan 04 is finally better, but still causes some troubles some days...

I knew you hadn't been around much, but know I know why....Do take care...don't worry about the meds...You will get off them when you are done with them...I had lots of concerns about that too, but the Doc keep saying that I had to do it, or I would let the pain get too far ahead, and that that wasn't at all smart. I had occasion to believe him more than a few times~:-[

Sending all Best Wishes to you for a most successful recovery!

Injury/surgery/rehab update:

My ankle cast came off today.

:-)

I was fitted for a brace that I'll need to wear for the next
6 months. Ankle rehab begins tomorrow along with the
resumption of my knee rehab.

The cast did a fine job protecting my surgically repaired
ankle. I know this because my ankle is killing me now that I
can move it.

Onward & upward.

Tim

:-)
