I would venture a guess that the points I have raised make you uncomfortable, so you'd rather stick to your comfort zone, which is that you don't like guns.

I personally don't like guns, but that has nothing to do with anything.

When I was 9 or 10 years old, I somehow got a Red Ryder BB gun into my hands and fired into a cherry tree. I heard a thud. It wasn't very loud. A small bird fell. I am not absolutely certain, but I am pretty sure it was me. To this day, that was the largest animal I have ever killed. I didn't like it one bit.

That is about all I know about guns.

In any case, I don't understand the antipathy towards gun control.

If getting a license to operate a gun, like getting a license to operate an automobile, prevents people from getting killed - then why not?

The Constitutional thing seems quaint and out of date. When the feds come after you with their sniper teams and armored vehicles, the little hand held is not going to do that much for you.

Anyhow, I don't feel strongly one way or the other. Doesn't seem to make that much difference to me.
