Well, all people are mere animals so, IMO, one should be circumspect about all life and suffering because of this sense of identification. Since "us people" feel we are all on a shared continuum, it does shape our world view, our feelings about national, international and environmental policy and what we perceive to be ethical.

Oh, that is an interesting post. You have gone basically from saying that greyhounds are well treated in the racing industry, to saying that patrons of greyhound racing do not care as much about the fate of the animals as "you people."

So are you still asserting that the greyhounds are treated humanely?
