I was thinking in terms of controlling spending. The Congress was helpful.

But you are correct, the GOP was out to lunch on the Clinton tax increase. Remember all those dire predictions of an economic Depression? ROFLOL.

I used to call myself a "fiscal conservative" but now I refer to myself as "fiscally prudent" since "conservative" has come to mean extremist.
