My husband used to ride with me before we were married (they'll do anything with you BEFORE you marry them). He's a construction worker, they don't do spandex. But finally I convinced him to ditch the jeans and wear the standard bike shorts with a chamois and he was far more comfortable. But as we were getting the bikes off the car and bringing them in the house, a guy walks by that he's known since he was a kid. He hadn't seen the guy in ten years but as they are talking I notice that my husband won't come out from in back of the large column on the porch to talk to the guy. I thought he was acting quit rude to someone he hadn't seen in so long and completely unlike him, until it dawned on me that he didn't want to be seen by this guy in spandex. It still cracks me up thinking about it.
