If you read the data that you yourself provided, access to guns in Switzerland has been severely restricted.

1. I read the data that I myself provided.
2. Access to guns in Switzerland hasn't been restricted at all.

Clearly, you must have either read something that I didn't post, or misinterpreted the Swiss Arms Act as something more than federalizing the registration process for non-military firearms.

So, after you re-read the info from the Swiss Embassy that I posted, can we get back to my question to you? What is the murder rate in Switzerland?

Unfortunately the Swiss do not have an equivalent to our Second Amendment, so it is much easier for their government to monkey with their freedoms than it is for ours.

Fortunately for us, we have many leaders who understand the importance of maintaining our freedoms, and the role of the Second Amendment in those freedoms. abcnews.go.com

Unfortunately for us, too many people are ill-informed or taking positions based on bad information. In the name of security, or simply because they think they know best, these people lobby for restrictions on our freedoms. They have to deal in half-truths and lies in order to pursue their ends because they simply do not have the facts behind them.

Anybody here who wants to support freedom should definitely check out NRA.org. You'll find out what real grass-roots activism based on facts is.

Here`s what anti-gun Representative Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who sits on the House Judiciary Committee, had to say about NRA`s grassroots lobbying efforts:

"The NRA does the best job of any group in lobbying members. They don`t have marches, they don`t have demonstrations, they don`t shoot their guns in the air. It`s just good, straight democracy."
