(SMY: TSX) today announced the appointment of Murem Sharpe to the company's board of directors. Sharpe is a former Fortune 500 executive and the founder of B2BQuarterback LLC, a management consulting firm that specializes in business strategy and implementation services for global technology companies, including firms in the radio frequency identification (RFID) sector that represents SAMSys' core business. 	    Before founding B2BQuarterback, Sharpe was Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer for MSX International, a Tier 1 global automotive supplier of engineering, manufacturing and business services; Senior Vice President and General Manager of the logistics outsourcing services business at Kelly Services, the Fortune 500 business services and staffing company; and Vice President, Product and Market Management and General Manager, Shipping Products and Services Division at Pitney Bowes, the Fortune 500 business products and services company. 	    During her 25-year career, Sharpe acquired extensive knowledge of supply chain management markets, including the automatic identification market, through her management responsibilities as a supplier of technology products and solutions to vertical markets including retail, pharmaceutical, automotive and high tech. As an executive and consultant, Sharpe has applied her expertise in mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnership development, including forging agreements in the RFID space in Europe and North America.
