Couple of things some might find interesting. About 25 years ago, when Pope John Paul II was just starting out, I had a good friend who happened to be a Monsignor in the Church. He told me that IF the Christian Religions didnt join together they would ALL be eventually lost. Since then, I noted that the Pope took a softened stand regarding Protestant religions and even the Jewish faith. I also note that its reported the Muslim religion is soaring in membership. Imagin, even then the CHURCH knew the future? Second, this Monsignor was a friend of the Pope, he went to see him and brought back to me a small wooden cross on a leather strap, blessed by the Pope. I was told that IF I was wearing this the moment I died I was ASSURED of going to heaven. I keep it by the bedside. jdn
