HI Brian, Sounds like they must be owned by Warren Buffet - chicken thief supreme. These mini tenders do show what strong value the SCE companies do represent. If nothing else it puts a floor in that the market hasn't been providing. Kind of takes the margin call worries away if nothing else. Times are going to get better - they've been sorry for so long - even I am tiring of this BS. Not that I'm any thing special - but I understand one's patience must be tried before a nice rise can be expected. Bob

"The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has posted on its website an investor alert regarding mini-tender offers, in which it cautions that, "some bidders make mini-tender offers at below-market prices, hoping that they will catch investors off guard if the investors do not compare the offer price to the current market price." I don't believe we should pass laws from keeping fools from parting with their money. Anyone too dumb to check what they can sell a stock for on the open market first deserves to get a lower price. FWIW, I see the tender as a way to say "Hey, we want to buy a significant number of shares but we don't want to pay above market prices since this volume would drive the price up. Likewise, someone who owns the company might want to sell a large position and not have the price of the stock tank due to their selling. Our offer makes this possible for us both to benefit."
