Re: ISON

>>> db3...seems to me 1) Williams% R and Ultimate Oscillator are in oversold territory and 2) Wilder DMI and stochastics show change in trend. Am I interpreting these wrong? <<<

All of the indicators you mention are oscillators. They should all confirm each other if a stock is overbought or oversold.

Oscillators are good for stocks in a trading range. For stocks that are trending either up or down, you should focus on the trend indicators, not the oscillators.

Although ISON could move up here, your time frame would need to be very short term because the stock is in a steep down trend.

ISON does look like it's trying to put in a bottom but we're not seeing any momentum being established as of yet.

If one were willing to take the risk in this price range, I think it would be a buy if it can trade above the last 3 days trading range. That would make the entry above $2.66, but you should meet some resistance just above that.

MACD which is a trend indicator is still hugging the bottom of the range and money flows are horrendous.

Again, you may be right in your timing. I don't know. It's a better risk vs reward play if you can gather some momentum before entering.
