I am tempted to respond the same way to Slider and others, but it sounds too much like what some temporary beneficiaries of the tech and dot.com bubble were saying to me in the year 2000 when I warned them to get out.

I am kind of stuck with energy myself because I don't want to let go of my position in Energy Split since it pays such huge tax-deferred returns. I have sold some smaller holdings, mostly to pay taxes.

If the U. S. dollar were a sound currency, or indeed if there were any really sound currency anywhere, I would be going into cash to some extent. But commodities look better to me than any paper money.

I can't say that I am up 100% in the same period as you are, but I have certainly seen my net worth climb faster than any time in my life, although repeatedly selling the QQQs short three or four years ago worked pretty well, too.

If you figure out a foolproof way to keep your profits for sure, and keep them on an inflation-adjusted basis, please let me know!
