Terri was a tomato. Her atrophied brain had been replaced with cerebrospinal fluid. She had been in the same state for 15 years with no improvement. For her, there was no hope of recovery. Keeping her alive was cruel, as a doll for her parents.

The Texas law I cited includes feeding tubes and people in the exact same state as Terri Schiavo. Bush signed it into law.
