<SP2 is actually pretty good, and does fix many security problems.> Well to me it has been the update from hell-well the last time it was. 4 times I downloaded only to be unable to boot my computer. 4 times I was able to overcome this relatively easily, with some varying combination of safe mode and system restore. The fifth time nothing worked. We had to reformat the hard drive and re-install the software. What a tremendous waste of time and energy. Microsoft was and is completely indifferent. PS with Norton security suite, BoClean. Adaware, Spy-Bot, Spyware Blaster, and Windows own new tool, my computer seems to be and remain pristine clean.
