I went to look on the web to find out what Tiger majored in, and discovered that he left after his sophomore year, because the heavy academic load at Stanford meant he could not concentrate on golf as much as he would like to.

Let me make it clear that I am not a fan of Tiger Woods. I think his parents spent way too much time trying to shape him into the perfect golf hero. I don't think that does wonderful things for overall personality development. There are tiny glimmers of Kobe Bryant in him, in that sense. I think everyone should be required to finish college before they become a sports star.
