Their publications and I occasionally get discounts, plus their political lobbying on behalf of "seasoned" citizens, also it's very cheap to be a member, just a few bucks a year from what I remember.

in the pre-internet era, AARP is an info depot ... BUT now many seniors in the late 70 telling me internet jokes at social gathering and on the township free trips or overnite trips they are exchanging internet jokes, stories, ....
