On my first read, I think the fact that he said

only 300-mm wafers would be run at Fab36 in Dresden

...means that, for now, 65nm is looking so good that 90nm would be a diversion there. It wouldn't make economic sense to make masks and set up half the fab for 90nm on 300mm if 65nm wafer outs can be achieved by mid 2006.
