If you are going to get literal, it is the bullets that kill people, right?

That said, I (that's me) might have to kill an animal that is threatening me (rattle snake, bear, etc.).

That is not killing a person. And the gun would just be the means I use to kill the poor snake.

Or I could stop a bad thing from happening. Just like the article from the town I live in that you had no response for. Not even a shot fired. And the criminal is alive to get some help he needs. He might have stabbed the guy otherwise, and then he would have ended two lives.

So there are a couple of OBVIOUS and GOOD uses (hence they are USEFUL) of a gun. But without me, it is just a piece of harmless metal. And what about the BULLETS! lol
