Super majority = filibuster. Do Republicans really think that they have enough time in the next 3.5 years to solidify and codify one-party rule? That's the only reason for killing the filibuster and destroying the need for a super majority. If they think they can win more seats in the future OR they think they'll be out of the majority in the future, they would leave the filibuster nuclear option off the table. They MUST THINK they're going to make Republican party rule the absolute norm in the future. It's mind-boggling.
