BTW, did you know that DELL docking stations use a proprietary DV connector with a smaller key hole so you are forced to buy a $50 DELL DV cable if you try to hook up a non-DELL LCD to it? Blowing smoke is rather likely yes. About the DV connector, it's part of the reason why I tell all my friends Dell is rather expensive, also for corporations that have corporate contracts but let themselves be outsmarted by Dell on add-ons (my work notebook costed >$5000 incl. monitor and docking station).
