I thought it was dirty how the unions twisted Arnold's goal to replace pensions with 401ks, into the notion they were going to do away with disability and life insurance benefits. These are unrelated. It actually makes me more convinced Arnold needs to take these unions on.

In the last decade, the unions have really weakened. I suspect they are getting more desperate. They need to pick their battles more carefully.

Do the pensions include health insurance?
I wouldn't worry about Arnold. He's got the best HENCHMEN in the biz.

ERISA was designed to take care of the participants or workers who paid in to it. It's not for the benefit of the administrators and it's sure as hell NOT for the benefit of government and insurance co's
