I think is immoral and unethical to use young people's athletic ability for profit without giving them the tools to make a living later in live, after their sports careers or their cataclysmic injuries or their third drug bust or whatever. I think not educating sports stars reduces sports to something akin to betting on animals (and then shooting or clubbing them to death when they aren't winning races anymore).

Okay, firsthand knowledge is starting to come in on retired racing greyhounds as pets. Is it possible that you could acknowledge that some of them might make nice pets, even though I understand you personally would not want one?
