I heard from my mom- I'll just post exactly what she wrote me about the dogs: I have known several people who have adopted greyhounds and all have been very positive about them. I baby sat one a few years ago and he was a terrific dog. He was playful with the basenjis and they accepted him like a big brother. He was very neat and clean and clearly had been trained how to behave in a home.

Athletes are athletes and while they CAN be engineers and physicists, they generally aren't. Please, Bill, produce a documented percentage of athletes that went on to earn peer honors in science. That will be an interesting poll. But not this one, I'm afraid to say. He won't allow us to question the motivation or the correctness of his expertise claiming it is an Ad Hominem attack and feigns insult and hurt feelings. That is precisely why "Authority" isn't accepted in logical debate. The bias of an "expert" is relevant and its use requires a discussion of the "man" (hence, Ad Hominem is the ONLY defense of an Appeal to Authority - clever, huh?) Bill can't win in debate on topic with facts (which he rarely provides, unless you count postings by Ann Coulter or his vaguely related personal experiences) but now he will play the race card, deny that basketball players are generally black (135 black to 15 white for top scoring ones in an article I found) and deny many are exploited and leave schools without degrees (despite racially disparate graduation rates at NCAA schools). Bill will stoop to any level to extract a single flippant sentence out of 1000's to prove a post is "moderately racist" about blacks (which is factually laughable in the context of a broader discussion which recognizes the unique nonscientific talents of athletes) and take a subsequent sentence formatted as a separate paragraph to suggest that I think Tiger Woods is from the ghetto when I know he's not. In the masterful use of fallacy (Appeal to Popularity), he will use his poll to validate his triumph: Message 21206109 We should relocate Iraq based upon polls... many people believe all sorts of things. Wrongly. archives.cnn.com Yes, he has a real victory here today on your thread! The posts of cosmicforce have been "proven" to be moderately racist and scientists and engineers to be generally less knowledgable than athletes in virtually any field by a Poll of Bill's acolytes.
