Ray,

When gas hits $2.50 and $3.00/gallon (and eventually $4, $5, and $6), it will be interesting to see how the Bush administration attempts to spin the oil situation. This article almost looks as if the Bush Administration is setting the stage to blame OPEC countries for higher prices, i.e. "See, they made a committment to maintain output at xxxx amount, but they reneged in order to exploit your pocket books!".

At $5/gallon gas and with 3 mile gas lines, I think Americans will submit to just about anything under the guise of restoring normalcy, the same way the Germans embraced Hitler's agenda amid the poverty and turmoil of post-WW1 Germany.
