it appears a monitor is worth the addition to new cars however i would like to see it at manufacture cost, the $50. to $70, not being marked up to $250.

If someone sells it at just the cost of manufacturing they are selling it at a loss because there is overhead and distribution costs, and presumably you aren't buying it from the company that made it so you also have various middle men who all have costs, and expectations for a profit.

If one buys a new car, one probably budgets 20-40K on cost of car. Is a couple hundred bucks that big of a deal in the larger scheme of things ?
