If we did not have faith in something, I'm not sure we would choose to continue to exist. The existential agnostic may find the faith to continue with the struggles in life, because to continue is to try to become "better" (in whatever way the agnostic defines for his or herself what "better" is), or simply to become what is different- and to grow and change. To do something, especially something that does not have an immediate impact in the now, is to have faith, at the very least, that the world will continue, and that one will be there to experience the continuation of the world.

If you have no faith you would not plan for retirement, you would not get a college degree, you would not have children. All the things we do for the future requires, at minimum, a faith that the future will exist. IMO of course.
