Sylverster I didn't claim any unusual or extremely detailed and complete knowledge of Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, but even if the worst claims about them are tame compared to the reality they would still fall short of abuses commited by a number of different regimes throughout the world. Also your question works both ways. Have you been at all these places so that you can know the level of torture and abuse that happened there? Have you also been at all the prisons and camps and other places of abuse of dozens of countries around the world including all of those known to or suspected of being severe human rights abusers? Or is it only those who disagree with you that need personal experience in the situation in order to have the right to say anything? If those pictures had not come out you would not even KNOW this had happened There was an ongoing investigation before the pictures became public. And you would have been dismissing anyone talking or bringing it up as a liar traitor or a liberal or all of them at once I certainly would not have called you or other people making the charge a traitor. I don't think you will find me calling anyone on SI a traitor in any of my 20K + posts. I probably wouldn't call you a liar without direct evidence. Making an unsupported or even untrue statement doesn't automatically mean you are a liar. I also don't see why I would bother to respond to such accusations by saying "your a liberal". Whether you are or are not is irrelevant to the claim. and destroyed all U.S. credibility for generations to come hyperbole
