Maybe he did, we just dont recognize it!! Like people of ALL FAITHS, all NATIONALITIES, Warring parties, all joining together in an outpouring of LOVE which IMHO is what the Pope preached at the core of his message. However, I gotta admit, when the Pope was going through his final illness, NOTHING would have made me happier then to have seen him BOUND OUT OF BED and run down the steps shouting Hallalujah I've been healed. Would have surely made an impression on our atheists and agnostics. jdn
