I respectfully disagree Ceedee! In Canada, the exec. branch (PM's office and Cabinet etc.) also controls the parliament. The judiciary in Canada is more conservative when it comes to rocking the boat compared to the US. The press is more rabid in the US. Someone may move heaven and earth to hide something in the US, but one leaker, one Senate or House investigation or one lawyer with the right judge can upset a lot of applecarts.
