So if Sandisk is biggest winner from this excessive fragmentation, the loser is certainly the consumer, who must buy 5 times the memory that she actually needs, instead of being able to transfer the 1 GB card from one device to the other. Why, I wonder, does my new Samsung videocam use only memory stick, which probably benefits Sony more than anyone? And how many of these form factors were initiated or created by Sandisk?
