Bushies lied telling us Iraqi oil would pay the the war. Although the White House itserlf didn't come out and say it they had all their surrogates on talk radio saying it loud and clear. I personally heard Hannity assure everyone Iraqi oil would pay for the war, and that oil prices would fall once we seized the Iraqi fields. In 2000, Bush and Cheney promised they would jawbone OPEC to lower oil prices. It was a big fat lie. They broke nearly every promise, including that one. At the same time, their buddies in Texas were engineering a phony energy crisis ripping off tens of billions from you and me. At the time, Bush had part of his campaign running out of Enron headquarters and had free use of Enron jets.
