Searle the US has a different type of problem in that we are neither socialistic nor purely capitalistic so our gov has huge expenditures. Getting the budget in order is difficult as the political aspect of our nation is expensive to the budget. New laws favor one group or the other yet the base must keep running and adapt to changes that incur costs far faster than they decrease costs A gov must offer something to its people or it is operating as a dictatorship. With each election we have there are certain benefits that appeal to the public and one side or the other legislates new laws that appeal to the people. Problem is to implement the laws to appease people costs increase. So we have inflation increased dilution of dollar value. That I feel i do know. I hate to comment on war as I wished it was not part of the life of this planet. DNA in all life forms has a self survival gene so I can blame that faulty gene. In technologically we have come to the point where we can save lives. The gene however has not evolved at the same rate to see the linkage is all life is sustained by earth. And I have not evolved to the point where war does not hurt me as I value life.
