personally, as a political organization I think the AARP is vastly overblown. I and most of my friends of comparable age belong to AARP. But, I and to my knowledge none of my friends pay much attention to their political ramblings. Remember, you gotta be 55 just to join and by then I think most people have acquired some smarts in being able to think for ourselves on issues. There is really only one axiom we tend to apply, and that is:

"Dont tax me,
Dont tax thee,
Tax the man, behind the tree! "
